From 18th October till 26th October, prior to the adrenaline-pumping Sony Ericsson Championships 2009, QH online held an online competition called StyleSlam. That was our first ever online competition and we’re proud to say that it was well received.
Teaming up with Sony Ericsson, participants got a chance to win a glamorous three-day break in Doha, from 30th October till 1st November, at one of the most stylish five-star hotels in Doha: La Cigale.
The lucky Mrs. Sondra Hutton was selected by Hala Kassab of ASDA'A Burson-Marsteller. Mrs. Sondra Hutton began her three-day getaway by dining with Sony Ericsson’s Management, Qatar Happening and tennis players Cara Black and Liezel Huber in the high-class Le Central restaurant. Not only that, she also got pampered with a luxury spa treatment, a tour of the camel race track, Sheikh Faisal Museum and the equestrian club, rubbed shoulders along with a friend of hers, Ms. Candace, with the top female tennis stars and the Qatari elite at the exclusive Sony Ericsson Championships’ Player’s Party and attended the Sony Ericsson Championship Finals as a VIP guest.
Here is what Mrs. Sondra Hutton had to say regarding the whole experience:
“I had a fabulous time meeting each of you and sharing in this once in a lifetime experience with my closest friend. Thank you for all the hard work in pulling off such an event and extravagant prize. Being relatively new to Qatar, Qatar Happening has been my main source for knowing what is happening in Doha and has been bookmarked since. Thank you for allowing us all those photo opportunities at your booth with all the tennis stars and I can't wait to see the photos. Thank you for a copy of the coveted first edition of the magazine as well. I have enjoyed the articles and can't wait to see November's issue that comes out today! And, of course, I will keep an eye out for the December "special".”
