Ramadan Crafts Workshop and Garangao Night Celebration at Doha Festival City

Families were delighted by activities at Doha Festival City this weekend where they were able to celebrate Ramadan together.


On Friday 25th, Doha Festival City celebrated the traditional Garangao night with more than 10,000 sweet-filled goody bags that were handed over to the visitors during the event. The children were encouraged to dress up in traditional Qatari outfits to add even more fun to the free-of-charge celebration.

Throughout the rest of the weekend, children got the chance to create with many priceless artworks created for their families.

There are many more activities taking place throughout the holy month of Ramadan, at everyone’s favourite fashion, dining and entertainment destination, including:

  • Live Cooking Stations

Event Description:

For an entire weekend, adults can enjoy live cooking stations at Doha Festival City, to learn more about making the trendiest and yummiest Iftar meals this season, as well as get to participate in crafting some dishes themselves.

  • Story Telling

Event Description:

For an entire weekend, kids will have the opportunity to listen to beautiful tales shared by a traditional story teller at Doha Festival City. Families can sit together under the magical Centre Court atrium to enjoy and learn more about the month of Ramadan.

 

Date: Friday 1st of June and Saturday 2nd of June

  • Henna Painting

Event Description:

For the last couple of days of Ramadan, and in celebration of Eid Al Fitr, there will be professional henna artists designing beautiful Henna art on guests.

 

Being the national bird and symbol of culture in the Middle East, guests will also have the chance to have their photo taken with a Falcon at Doha Festival City.

Event Description:

Families will get to enjoy traditional games such as the giant snacks and ladder game and many more that will be located in different areas around the Mall.

  • Interactive Photo Booth with Traditional Dresses

Event Description:

For the last week of Ramadan, and in celebration of Eid Al Fitr, guests will also have the chance to have their photos taken on an interactive photo booth screen at Doha Festival City with traditional dress wear on.

Event Description:
